Senior Supply Chain Consultant

SAP, supply chain & operations, some experience, consultant

Right now, non-integrated, non-real-time data means our customers receive fragmented information. It’s time for change, and that’s where you come in. With the best information and technology at your fingertips, you’ll be able to work your magic, and our clients will be able to count on you to clearly assess their situation and propose the right solutions to their supply chain issues.

As our clients’ supportive sparring partner, you’ll guide them through the implementation and adaptation of more efficient supply chain management. You will think of solutions. You’ll always seek out the best route to success, helping the organization to grow and constantly expanding your team’s knowledge of what works and what doesn’t.

What will you do?

You’ll start by taking a good, hard look at customer’s current business processes and tools, analyzing their usability and functionality. What needs to be optimized? Where is customization needed? You’ll translate your ideas into a clearly defined planning process and corresponding future tool, which will map out the entire chain from inception through blueprint, design, development, and deployment, all the way to support. Using current best practices in the SAP package, you’ll be in constant communication with your colleagues in other departments.

But that’s only half the story. The next step will be to ensure this wealth of knowledge reaches colleagues and clients via training sessions you’ll deliver yourself. This close contact with our clients offers a real opportunity to provide tailored solutions to their supply chain management issues.

Is there a match?

Do you recognize yourself in the following profile:

  • There isn’t a single project you’ll be working on alone. Given the close contact you’ll have with clients and colleagues, you are an outgoing person who believes in creating a positive and upbeat working atmosphere.
  • You have experience in supply chain management and logistics processes, and proven proficiency in knowledge sharing, allowing you to confidently suggest solutions.
  • You understand how supply chain and operations are linked together through IT. You have affinity with IT tools, including a working knowledge or interest in SAP solutions such as IBP and APO.
  • Thanks to your well-developed communication skills, making convincing arguments and knowing how to present them is second nature to you. But you’re not lacking in hard skills either, and you’re up to date with all the necessary technical, architectural, and process-related developments.
  • Complex problems? You file those under ‘things I find intellectually challenging’. If people were to describe you, they might use words like ‘hands-on’ and ‘entrepreneurial’.
  • Positive feedback from clients and co-workers is what makes you tick.
  • Today, we have offices in Ghent, Antwerp, Wavre, Liège, Kortrijk and Lummen, but mostly we work onsite at our customers, wherever they are in Belgium.
