Q&A

There is a structured plan to onboard our new talent who comes fresh out of school. The learning journey guides you on your way to becoming an impactful consultant.
If you join us in September (like most of our analysts), we have foreseen a complete bootcamp including training sessions on specific technical and functional domains. You’ll dive into delaware’s way of working, expand your network, and prepare for your upcoming projects.
Starting at another time of the year? You’ll receive the same high-quality onboarding, mainly through on-the-job learning, supported by your team and a more senior colleague.
Throughout your first months, a dedicated buddy will be there to answer your questions and help you find your way. And this is just the beginning: we are in it for the long-run. You’ll be supported through training bootcamps, certification opportunities, mentoring, and a transparent evaluation system, with the freedom to grow in the direction that suits you best... whether as a specialist, manager, or something entirely different.
-
The first day is centered around getting to know delaware and what we stand for, meeting fellow starters and getting some understanding of the basic tools and systems you’ll need as a delaware employee.
During your first week, you’ll be able to connect with your buddy, someone in your team that will be available to ask your questions to. You’ll also be invited to kick off your learning journey and check out the onboarding checklist, which provides you with all the necessary must-knows.
The following weeks and months, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to meet other #peopleofdelaware and quickly expand your delaware network, while already working on concrete (customer) projects.
After your first three months, your Team Lead will take a dedicated moment to check in and see how you’re doing. That will also conclude the onboarding process. -
The onboarding process takes three months: from the welcome on day one to the (semi-official) closing in month three.
-
Yes, you will. Next to the obvious hardware like laptop and mobile phone, you’ll also be invited to fill in the onboarding checklist, which tells you the different options you have to become acquainted with delaware.
You’ll also be able to initiate your learning journey. In other words: which training is relevant for you? All information is available on our intranet. -
Your buddy will be there for you the first three months at delaware to support you with job and social integration. From working with customer-specific tools to ordering sandwiches at the office and inviting you to cool events, your buddy has got your back.
Your team leadership will be there throughout your entire career at delaware; they're the people who are close to you and understand what you're doing on a daily basis. Next to coaching and providing feedback, they also play a role in your evaluation process and can be a sounding board for different topics, such as wellbeing.
There is also the opportunity to choose a mentor in or out of your team. This can be delaware role model who can act as your trusted advisor. Their experience and feedback can help you develop both professionally and personally to achieve your true potential for the long-term.
Who knows, maybe you can become a buddy or mentor yourself and help other colleagues in the future.
