The delaware SAP Customer Service & Digital Procurement (CS&DP) team is a group of specialists who help organizations optimize and digitize their customer‑ and supplier‑facing processes. We support our customers by translating business needs into integrated, future‑proof SAP solutions, with a strong focus on efficiency, transparency, and automation. Our mission is to guide customers toward best practices in customer service and procurement, enabling smoother operations, better collaboration across the supply chain, and greater business impact.

We are pioneers when it comes to SAP S/4HANA. While we continue to support customers running SAP ECC, all new transformation initiatives — including system conversions and migrations — are built on the latest S/4HANA technologies. This means you’ll be involved in a wide variety of innovative SAP projects, helping customers modernize their customer service and order handling, procurement, supplier collaboration and end-to-end process integration.

The objective is to increase transparency, automation, and control across customer‑ and supplier‑facing processes, enabling organizations to operate more efficiently, improve collaboration, and better support their business growth.

Your role at delaware

As a Solution Architect within Customer Service & Digital Procurement, you will design and steer end‑to‑end SAP solutions covering Source‑to‑Settle and/or Order‑to‑Cash processes. You translate business requirements into scalable, integrated SAP architectures, ensuring consistency across customer service, procurement, invoicing, and related supply chain processes within an S/4HANA landscape.

You play a key role in shaping the solution direction of SAP transformation and migration projects. From early blueprinting and design decisions to implementation and go‑live, you safeguard architectural quality, alignment with best practices, and long‑term maintainability. You actively challenge requirements where needed and guide customers toward future‑proof solutions that balance standardization and business needs.

In close collaboration with functional consultants, technical teams, and project managers, you act as the central design authority for your domain. You support workshops, validate functional and technical designs, manage cross‑stream dependencies, and ensure smooth integration with other SAP domains such as Finance, Logistics, and Manufacturing.

You also act as a trusted advisor for customers, helping them understand how S/4HANA innovations can improve their Source‑to‑Settle or Order‑to‑Cash processes. Whether it’s automation, simplification, or better process visibility, you help translate SAP capabilities into concrete business value.

Beyond project delivery, you contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within delaware. You help shape solution standards, share lessons learned across teams, and support pre‑sales and proposal activities where your architectural expertise makes a difference.

Experience & Skills

Now that you know what you’ll be doing on a daily basis, let’s see if you can check some of the boxes below: 

  • Do you have at least 7 years of experience in SAP? Even better if you’ve already acted as a Solution Architect or a senior functional lead.
  • Do you have a solid understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P / Source-to-Settle) and Order-to-Cash (O2C)?
  • Have you worked on procurement, sales or logistics flows?
  • From a functional perspective, are you comfortable with SAP MM and SAP SD?
    And do you understand how they integrate across end-to-end processes?
  • Have you built your experience in a consultancy environment? Then you probably know how to deal with clients, manage expectations and translate business needs into solutions. This is definitely a nice plus!
  • Are you familiar or eager to work withn S/4Hana Cloud and SAP BTP?
  • Have you explored tools like SAP Ariba, SAP VIM?
    These are strong assets, but not must-haves.
  • English is a must. Dutch and/or French are a plus.
  • And finally: are you open to a hybrid way of working, ideally based in Flanders?

The delaware SAP Finance & Business Controlling team is currently on the lookout for an SAP Finance Solution Architect. We’re looking for a highly experienced SAP Finance functional specialist with a broad knowledge of the field who can translate our customers’ business needs into the best SAP solutions for their finance roadmaps.

 

The ideal candidate not only has a profound knowledge of the SAP Finance portfolio, they also have the skills and mindset necessary to guide our larger, more complex transformation projects in the finance and controlling area.

 

As a Finance Solution Architect, you should be able to cover the full spectrum of Finance, including financial planning & analysis, accounting & financial close, finance operations, treasury management, and enterprise risk & compliance.

 

You will play a lead role in medium to large SAP Finance projects, safeguarding strategic choices during implementation. Here, again, you should bring your expertise to all the different phases of the project: from pre-studies and prototyping, business analysis and roadmapping, to the actual SAP Finance architecture design. You will also lead client workshops and conduct knowledge transfer activities to help our customers develop their skills.

 

Excellent social and communication skills are essential, as you will be collaborating closely with our business consultants and coaching your colleagues during implementation, as well as participating in our internal knowledge transfer. These key skills will also help you build effective links with the outside world, establishing long-term business partnerships with our customers and leveraging the SAP network itself based on your extensive experience.
