Technical Presales Architect Infrastructure and Cloud

Microsoft, cloud & infrastructure, lot of experience, developer
Belgium

You are passionate about innovation and cloud. You combine this passion with the technical and commercial insight to put yourself in the shoes of the customer, understand their reality and translate this into a technical architecture or solution. As a communicative and technically skilled architect, you accompany our Sales colleagues to customer visits and assist them with various presales projects.

You are ambitious and eager to take on a varied range of innovatieve projects. You are keen on growing and diversifying your architectural skills by collaborating with colleagues from other teams and solutions. You are committed to expand your knowledge by staying up-to-date on the latest technologies in your field and mentoring your less-experienced colleagues. You love building business relationships, collaborating with Sales colleagues and helping our team grow.

Who are we?

The Core Technology Services team is a mix of technical SAP & Microsoft Azure Infrastructure consultants. Behind every business application that runs smoothly at our clients, there is a substantial amount of work done behind the scenes - and screens. In fact, that’s the main mission of this team: making sure that there are solid foundations from the very beginning.

We architect, setup, migrate & maintain the SAP and/or Microsoft Azure infrastructure to support the business applications of our customers. Our biggest challenge is to keep up with the fast pace of cloud infrastructure innovation. That’s why it’s our trademark at delaware to work on innovative projects, leveraging a high level of automation.

Just so you know: delaware has its offices in Antwerp, Ghent, Kortrijk, Lummen, Liège and Wavre, but we also spend a lot of time working together with our customers on-site.

What will you be doing?

As a technical architect, you are responsible for analyzing and translating business information and technical designs into an architectural blueprint. Half of your time, you will work on presales projects to define technical requirements, check feasibility, and design optimal and innovative solutions for our customers:

  • During customer visits, you assist our Sales team by helping them understand and map out the customer’s technical needs
  • You do this by providing best practices on sharing the architecture & infrastructure models with a business audience.
  • Afterwards, you work with functional and technical teams to figure out the business requirements, solution architecture and priorities.
  • Once these needs are fixed, you decide the preferred technologies and capabilities, together with Hosting & Infrastructure, as well as the Support Service Partners.
  • Finally, you create architecture and technical design documents to communicate the solutions that will be implemented by the solution designer and technical implementer.

The other half of your time:

  • You will be staffed on SAP and/or Microsoft Azure infrastructure projects as a technical architect to assist with:
    • project management,
    • the projects’ planning and realization,
    • and the actual deployment and implementation.
  • You’ll keep a close eye on cloud evolutions and share your knowledge with equally excited tech experts. Together, you’ll adapt the existing systems or develop solutions to fix the problems of the future.
  • With your advanced technical skills, you’ll also collaborate closely with other teams within delaware to support them in their cloud implementation projects.
