Compensation & Benefits Specialist

SAP, HR Technology, some experience, internal role
Belgium

You are an experienced HR professional with a strong background in hard HR. Compensation & Benefits programs don’t hold many secrets for you.

You follow up on generic and specific reward questions and are up to speed on the changes in Belgian and European tax law & social regulations. You would enjoy being actively involved in taskforces on a variety of HR topics and, depending on your interests and growth path, play an important role in broader HR projects.

We are looking for a Compensation & Benefits Specialist who is genuinely passionate about developing expertise in tax and employee rewards. Could that be you?

Who are we?

We are the delaware HR team: a close-knit group of about 36 HR professionals. You can find us in the different delaware offices. With more than 1,600 colleagues in Belgium and Luxembourg alone, you can imagine that every one of them has different needs and expectations when it comes to HR. They come to us with a broad variety of questions on compensation, tax, benefits, and social security.

Our Compensation & Benefits team is primarily based in our Ghent and Kortrijk offices, making these our main hubs for expertise in this area. Add to this a dose of ever-changing employment legislation and the challenges that come with reward management, and you immediately get why we need a Compensation & Benefits Specialist with extensive knowledge on these topics and trends. Don’t worry, you won’t have to do this on your own – you can count on the support of experienced HR colleagues!

  • You’ll leverage your expertise in conversations with both internal and external partners.
  • You’ll prepare detailed and insightful reports on various topics, such as audits and finance budgets, ensuring accuracy and clarity. Your strong reporting skills will be crucial in providing comprehensive data analysis and acting as a calculation partner for our ongoing projects, assessing cost and impact.
  • You’ll analyze delaware’s compensation & benefits data and create comprehensive reports to help improve and sustain a competitive reward strategy.
  • You’ll spend a significant amount of time designing and following up on new compensation & benefits projects, rolling them out in close collaboration with the management team and co-creating with our business partners.
  • You’ll work closely with your payroll and reward colleagues, providing backup support when necessary.
  • You’re eager to keep learning and will share your knowledge with colleagues.

Is there a match?

Let’s see. If you…

  • have at least 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar position and have a strong background in payroll and compensation & benefits;
  • know how to follow up on collective labor agreements, rulings and prepare files for fiscal and social inspection (or are eager to learn about them);
  • are familiar with R&D subsidies, split salaries and expats;
  • know a little about payroll regulations in Luxembourg (that’s a plus!);
  • would like to sink your teeth into new compensation & benefits projects. These projects can be strategic or operational – just tell us what you’re passionate about!
  • are pragmatic, hands-on, good with numbers and have a strong analytical mind;
  • are fluent in Dutch or French and proficient in English;

…then you may be the Compensation & Benefits Specialist we’re looking for!
