“On my current project, I am responsible for ensuring the quality of the applications through both manual and automation testing. The project involves working closely with developers to verify that the application functions as expected and as described in the customer requirements. The customer uses the Zephyr Scale tool for test plans and test cycles, Azure DevOps on the other hand is used for development and automation tests. We log and manage bugs in Jira, which we also use for the sprint boards. For automation testing, I develop tests using Playwright with TypeScript. The active collaboration with the development team makes this a very exciting project where I learn a lot at short time period. Regular meetings with the stakeholders during in-office work days or remote ensure the best communication and satisfaction.” — Lotte Rombaut. 

As a Junior Test Engineer, you’ll take on the role of technical or functional tester, meaning that you’ll be supporting our projects on each test cycle, from small unit testing to integration and acceptance testing.

But there’s more: the consultancy element means that you’ll collaborate closely with our customers and colleagues from BeLux and beyond. You’ll learn to understand their needs, get insights on a variety of applications and safeguard the quality of the customized solutions for their business.

Wat team will you be part of?

As Testing & Application Lifecycle Management team, our integral role is to ensure the business continuity by regularly testing for quality, performance and security. To achieve this, we have our own Testing as a Service (TaaS) offerings including functional testing, acceptance testing, automated testing, quality coaching and test governance. This for a wide range of applications in the ecosystem of Microsoft and SAP. We are also constantly evolving/expanding our scope of testing solutions in the overall IT landscape.

We have technical developers that write automated test scripts in various OpenSource tools and in licenced tools such as Katalon or Tricentis. We have functional testers and coordinators that plan the testing strategy at customers’ needs and that help during testing, follow-up on status and defects and guide the customer where needed.

We work where we work best, When we work best. delaware has its offices in Antwerp, Ghent, Kortrijk, Liège, Lummen and Wavre, but as a consultant, you’ll sometimes find yourself on-site with our customers as well. We offer flexible hours, and we’ll find the perfect balance together.

  • Speak English fluently, in combination with Dutch.

  • Are motivated to learn and eager to take on new challenges

“As a Customer Experience Consultant, my job is very diverse: customizing software based on the needs of the client, aligning with stakeholders on what the specific business needs are, working on training materials to coach the client in using the software the correct way, etc. The type of work really depends on the stage of the project. I’m now working on a project where I’m configuring Microsoft Dynamics to the needs of the client, organizing the data set to make use of other integrations, documenting the configurations in DevOps, etc. Being a functional consultant means that you have to adapt to the needs of the project in order to provide value to the client. This is done by automating and optimizing their processes such as marketing, sales, field and customer service!” — Nicolas Flanagan 

Like Nicolas, you’ll be working as a functional consultant, straddling the business and IT sides of our projects. What does that mean exactly? A project typically goes a bit like this: first, you visit the customer and organize workshops to analyze their way of working. Based on that information, you create blueprints, drawing up processes and suggesting optimizations. Then the IT part comes into play. You’ll be inputting the processes to a software package and translating business requirements into technical specifications for our developers (who will do the coding). After testing whether everything works properly, you’ll train the customer in how to use the new system.
