“Today I started with a quick team check-in, where we align on what everyone's working on and flag anything that needs extra support. After that, I usually dive into reviewing user access requests or helping fine-tune role configurations in SAP, making sure everyone gets just the access they need without opening the door too wide. I join calls with clients to discuss upcoming changes or security audits. I spend part of my afternoon working on a security monitoring tool we recently implemented. It’s cool to see how the work we do directly protects sensitive data.” 

As a Junior SAP Security Engineer, you’re someone who understands how important it is to keep information safe. Maybe you’re in your final year of study, or perhaps you’ve just started your professional journey and are ready for the next step. You’re curious, eager to learn, and have a real interest for IT and Security topics.

While you don’t need to be an expert in SAP just yet, you’re ready to dive in and grow your skills quickly. You’re not just technically minded, you’ve got the people side of things too. Whether it’s explaining something clearly or understanding what someone really needs, you’re willing to build those communication skills to connect with clients and colleagues alike.

Above all, you’re motivated to take on challenges and shape your future in IT security and consultancy.

What will you be doing?

As a Junior SAP Security Engineer, you’ll play a key role in keeping our clients’ SAP environments safe. Think of yourself as a gatekeeper, someone who understands which doors should stay open and which need to stay shut.

You’ll be working closely with more experienced colleagues to:

•    Make sure security solutions across SAP systems are solid, effective, and up to date.
•    Review and improve existing security setup, spotting weaknesses and suggesting better ways of doing things.
•    Help implement new security tools and products that monitor and protect sensitive data.
•    Configure user roles and permissions within SAP, making sure every user has exactly the access they need, nothing more, nothing less.
•    Understand the specific needs of each team and tailor access controls accordingly.
•    Keep a close eye on compliance and documentation to make sure everything is in line with industry standards and internal policies.

We work where we work best, when we work best. delaware has offices in Antwerp, Ghent, Kortrijk, Liège, Lummen, and Wavre, but we also spend time working closely with our clients on-site. Networking matters, to both our customers and our team. As a Junior SAP Security engineer, you’ll always have a senior colleague to rely on.
