CIO Advisory Consultant

Our Business Transformation & Adoption unit, bringing together a broad community of consultants, focuses on delivering tangible business value through technology. We work closely with our customers to design, implement, and optimize business applications that support their core processes and strategic goals. Operating across industries and collaborating intensively with our technical and functional experts, we translate business needs into robust, future-proof solutions that drive efficiency, scalability, and innovation.

We work where we work best, when we work best. delaware has offices in Antwerp, Ghent, Kortrijk, Liège, Lummen, and Wavre. At the same time, being close to our customers is key: you’ll regularly be on the road, working on-site with customer teams to understand their context, co-create solutions, and ensure successful delivery.

• Translate business strategy into architecture: value streams, capabilities, operating models and roadmaps that actually get executed.
• Bring an outside-in perspective (market dynamics, sector trends, the CIO's agenda and make it tangible for the client).
• Collaborate closely with enterprise and IT architects as well as C-level business stakeholders. You are their sounding board and their navigator.
• Conduct maturity assessments of clients' IT and business landscapes and translate findings into concrete priorities and transformation roadmaps.
• Tap into delaware's broad network of technology and domain experts from SAP to data to cloud to bring the right expertise to the table at the right moment. You are the connector between the client and the collective.
• Support the definition of target operating models, governance structures and change plans.
• Actively contribute to our methodology and help shape the growth of the BTA practice.

You can take charge of a situation - that's for sure. You have proven this multiple times in your past few years in a leadership role. You can lead a team, able to motivate people and find your way within the organization, have a proper network to kickstart the CIO advisory service.  
If a problem arises, you are efficient, analytical and can show quick problem-solving skills as a result. You have strong strategic ambitions and are eager to work in a client-facing, quality-driven environment.  

Next to that,

• you hold a master's degree (business, computer science or equivalent) and have 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in enterprise or business architecture, preferably in a consulting environment.
• you are at home with architectural concepts such as value streams, capabilities and process modelling. A certification (TOGAF, BIZBOK or equivalent) is a plus.
• you have hands-on experience with EA tools such as LeanIX, Signavio or comparable platforms.
• you combine strong analytical thinking with a genuine feel for the human and organisational side of change.
• you are familiar with digital transformation programmes and ERP/CRM/MES implementations.
• you are fluent in English. Dutch is preferred; French is a plus.
