delaware welcomes 111 starters with bootcamp and a Toyota EV

Sep 04, 2024

On Monday 2 September, 111 new junior consultants will kick off their career at delaware with a four-week bootcamp. This onboarding track is specifically designed to connect, educate, and integrate new #peopleofdelaware into the delaware family. Thanks to a strategic partnership with Toyota, all newcomers will be given an electric company car, marking yet another milestone on our way to building a sustainable fleet.

Cultivating skills and connection

Every year, new junior consultants begin their delaware journey with a comprehensive four-week bootcamp in September. This experience is all about learning and guidance, navigating the organization, and connecting with both fellow starters and seasoned #peopleofdelaware. As a result, everyone starts with the same tools and knowledge needed to excel in their first projects and beyond.

In the first week, participants are introduced to delaware’s values, organizational structure and essential business processes, along with fundamental business concepts and key consulting skills (e.g., project management, security and communication). Weeks two and three consist of focused training tailored to each participant’s role within delaware. In week four, they engage in a business game or mini project that simulates a customer case, which enables them to apply their newfound knowledge and present their findings to a jury of senior leadership.

But the learning opportunities don’t stop after those four weeks. Participants will return for comeback days that focus on two strategically important topics: Project Management and Business Acumen. Additional “Ask the Expert” sessions will discuss themes such as scheduling, salary, holidays, DevOps, and more.

delaware and Toyota: partners in sustainability

In line with our new partnership – and honoring our sustainability goals –, every starter will get an electric company car: the Toyota bZ4X. This versatile model stands out with its trendy design, beautifully finished and spacious interior, and high-performance battery. It combines a pleasant driving experience with high-quality safety and driving assistance systems.

“We are proud to partner up with delaware for this renewal of their company fleet,” says Steve Nys, Head of Business Sales at Toyota Belgium. “These EVs embody the quality, reliability and durability for which Toyota is renowned. They perfectly align with Toyota and delaware’s shared commitment to creating a positive impact on the environment.”

“This is Toyota’s first fully electric car, but their unparalleled expertise in battery technology gave us all the confidence we needed,” adds Pieter Sanders, Fleet and Facility Manager at delaware. “These cars, which we’ll lease via MHC Mobility, offer an extensive range and will further pave our way towards a sustainable future. In 2020, we acquired our first 100% electric car and recently, we even added the 1,000th electric vehicle to our fleet. A huge milestone, just like this one.”

Building an organization that lasts
