What will you be doing?

You’ll have quite a diverse to-do list, if you ask us:

  • As a Digital Manufacturing consultant, you’ll visualize and map the customer’s production processes and discover where optimization opportunities arise, making use of existing and new technologies, both in project and/or presales mode. At Delaware, we adopt a wide range of technologies to achieve our customer’s goals, ranging from standard MES solutions (such as SAP Digital Manufacturing) to low-code development (such as Mendix or PowerApps).
  • You’ll lead and realize projects within a production environment from start to finish. From the blueprint phase, functional design, realization, testing, training and preparation…right up to the actual go-live. You will be the leading consultant, coaching junior colleagues and key users at the customer’s side.

Today, delaware has its offices in Gent, Antwerpen, Wavre, Kortrijk, Lummen and Liège, but you will often be working at our customers’ sites, wherever they are in Belgium. As a Digital Manufacturing consultant, you’ll be welcomed – with open arms! – by the Digital Manufacturing team. You’ll have about 20 new colleagues that will advise and assist you on whatever issues you may have. Sounds good, right?

Is there a match?

Let’s have a look at the skills you’ll need to become a Digital Manufacturing consultant at delaware:

  • Do you have more than 4 years of experience in digital manufacturing projects using off the shelf or custom-built MES/MOM solutions? To us, this means that you already took the lead in the phases of a typical project: blueprint, realization (customizing & developments), testing, training, go-live and support.
  • Business knowledge on how production processes run is a must.
  • What about warehouse management, procurement, etc.? Any broader business and IT knowledge of logistical processes will come in handy.
  • Do you show a strong interest in Industry 4.0 business and technology trends? And more importantly – are you eager to start shaping and adapting the existing delaware offerings?
  • An implementation project not only requires a change in processes, but also in mindset – Are you able to listen carefully to the customer’s needs, translate complex content into everyday language and communicate the requirements to your team? Thanks to your project management skills, that shouldn’t be an issue.
  • Having knowledge on the basic principles of lean manufacturing, business process mapping, etc is definite plus.
  • Speaking of communication: Can you express yourself easily in English and Dutch or French?
  • Your work as a Digital Manufacturing (MES/MOM) consultant might take you abroad as well. Are you willing to spend some time gaining international experience? Not a must - a possibility!

Experienced SAP Transportation Management Consultant

Matches:  supply chain & operations, SAP, consultant, lot of experience

As an experienced SAP Transportation Management (TM) Consultant, you have proven SAP Logistics experience. You’re a professional in the configuration of the TM flow, including planning & execution, charge calculation & settlement, cost distribution VSR, ASR, billing,… Preferably, you combine this experience with basic EWM knowledge to be able to execute the transportation planning in the warehouse, and implement the ASR integration between TM and EWM. Your knowledge and skills reach beyond user experience, as you are comfortable creating documentation or providing support or training.

Being involved in every aspect of the implementation process gives you energy. First, you analyze the needs of your customers and translate them into blueprints and technical designs. Next, you take care of the implementation and configuration processes, and last but not least, you organize training workshops and courses with the customer. From beginning to end, you like to be at the helm, driving your projects forward!

Collaborating with a close-knit team of various colleagues from SAP SD MM, EWM and PP motivates you. It gives you excellent insight into the bigger picture and teaches you plenty of new things. To you, your job is more than translating the customer’s current processes into SAP. You use your expertise to question, explore and co-create new processes together with the customer, based upon best practices.

You will translate the client’s business requirements into SAP processes, from order to cash (quotations, sales orders, deliveries, shipments, billing documents).  You are familiar with pricing, ATP (available to promise), MRP, Rebates and credit management.

You make a point of staying up to date with the latest evolutions relating to SAP SD. This includes attending trainings, reading publications and search for relevant information proactively.
