In 2023, delaware will expand its operations in Malaysia and establish new entities in Morocco, India, Ireland and Canada, thereby significantly improving its SAP and Microsoft capabilities and international services. These international expansions will allow delaware to be even more competitive on a global level.
“In our geographic expansion strategy, we prioritize international opportunities that sustain our entire business for the long-term,” says Eric Hiernaux, Managing Director of delaware International. “With our large addressable market, it is our goal to be everywhere. Hence, investing in global delivery centers and support entities is a key element in our global approach, as they speed up the growth of more mature entities by providing international support.”
As part of its growth, delaware Malaysia will strengthen its Microsoft capabilities by merging with Applicate. In doing so, delaware puts a new Microsoft BizApps player on the map in Malaysia and Southeast Asia. The goal is to build a successful global delivery center for Microsoft and further develop it, leveraging delaware’s global scale and brand. Applicate will gradually integrate with delaware Malaysia and delaware The Philippines throughout 2023.
The entities in Morocco and India will both be SAP-focused global delivery centers, providing high-quality services to other delaware entities and worldwide customers. Ataa Erroussafi takes on the role of Managing Director of delaware Morocco and Amit Gupta will become Managing Director of delaware India. Going forward, both entities will be focusing on building a powerful brand in the Moroccan and Indian consulting market.
As Morocco is adjacent to delaware’s existing scale-up and mature entities, practical benefits such as geographical proximity and identical time zones will ensure close collaboration with other countries in and around Europe. On the other hand, delaware North America already worked closely with Indian IT professionals through offshoring on a frequent basis, making the establishment of a delaware global delivery center in India a logical next step.
delaware’s new entities in Ireland and Canada will have a supporting role. Whereas delaware Ireland was established to help expand the UK market and develop the Irish market, delaware Canada will serve the Canadian market together with delaware North America. “Eventually, we aim to enlarge our global market presence and deliver even better services to our international customers through increased collaboration,” says Eric Hiernaux.
