AI Business Engineer

management consulting, lot of experience, consultant
Belgium

We’re hiring AI Business Engineers to join our Business Transformation & Adoption (BTA) practice.

AI is changing how organizations work, and our clients are looking for partners who can guide them through that change — not just with theory, but with hands-on solutions. As an AI Business Engineer, you’ll be that partner. You’ll sit down with clients to understand how they work today, identify where AI can genuinely move the needle, and then help build it: from a quick prototype to a full adoption roadmap.

This is a client-facing role from day one. You’ll lead workshops, run AI inspiration sessions for management teams, and work side by side with our business development colleagues to bring new clients on board. No two weeks look the same — one day you might be facilitating a use case identification workshop with a client’s leadership team, the next you’re building a Claude skill or a quick Copilot prototype, and the day after that you’re pitching an AI roadmap to a steering committee.

A quick note on the technical side: this isn’t a deep-tech AI role. You don’t need to be a data scientist or know how to train models. What matters is that you’re comfortable working with everyday AI tools — Claude, Copilot, Copilot Studio, Lovable, and similar — and that you can use them to build practical no-code/low-code solutions: setting up a custom skill, automating a personal workflow, or putting together a quick prototype to show a client what’s possible. When a use case calls for a more complex, production-grade AI solution, our specialist teams take it from there — your job is to spot the opportunity, validate it, and bring the first version to life.

Who are we?

You’ll join our Business Transformation & Adoption practice, the team that helps clients rethink how they work — not just what systems they use. AI is one of the biggest levers we have right now, and you’ll be one of the people putting it into practice across industries and clients. You’ll work closely with consultants from other teams, and with our sales teams to grow our AI footprint in the market.

delaware has offices in Antwerp, Ghent, Kortrijk, Lummen, and Wavre, but we embrace a “where you work best” policy: we work where we work best, when we work best.

What will you be doing?

A project typically looks something like this:

  • Lead AI inspiration sessions. You kick off the journey with clients by showing them what AI can realistically do for their business — demystifying the hype, sparking ideas, and getting management teams excited and aligned.
  • Facilitate use case identification workshops. Together with the client, you map out their processes, spot where AI can create real value, and prioritize opportunities based on impact and feasibility.
  • Build the AI roadmap. You translate the workshop output into a concrete, phased roadmap — with quick wins, longer-term initiatives, and a business case that holds up in front of management.
  • Build no-code/low-code AI solutions. Using tools like Claude, Copilot, Copilot Studio, and Lovable, you turn ideas into custom skills, personal productivity automations, and quick prototypes — not just slides. Knowledge of Power Platform is a nice-to-have. For larger, production-grade AI solutions, you team up with our specialist AI/data colleagues.
  • Coach and support adoption. You help end users get comfortable with new, AI-augmented ways of working. Success means people are actually using what you’ve built, not just that it’s been delivered.
  • Contribute to business development. You help shape AI propositions, build client demos, and support proposals — turning conversations into new engagements.

Is there a match?

First of all, it’s important to know that we employ all kinds of people and profiles at delaware. Don’t worry if you can’t meet all our requirements. If you can meet some of them, then we want to hear from you and learn all about your skills, talents, and motivation.

So, if you…

  • Have a background in business, economics, IT, or a related field, and have a strong affinity with AI and how it can be applied in business
  • Have hands-on experience with everyday AI tools such as Claude, Copilot, Copilot Studio, or Lovable — and you actually use them to build things, not just chat with them. Knowledge of Power Platform is a plus, but not required
  • Enjoy standing in front of a room: facilitating workshops, leading inspiration sessions, and presenting to management and C-suite audiences
  • Have an instinct for business development: you spot opportunities in client conversations and aren’t shy about helping turn those into proposals
  • Like building things yourself with no-code/low-code platforms — you don’t need to be a developer or AI engineer, just comfortable enough to set things up and make them work
  • Are structured enough to build a roadmap and a business case, but flexible enough to prototype something live in front of a client
  • Speak English fluently, in combination with Dutch
  • Are motivated to learn and want to stay ahead — AI moves fast, and so do you
  • Have a driver’s license, to get wherever you need to be

… then you’re the AI Business Engineer we’re looking for!

Let's meet up!

Come and have a chat with us and tell us all about your skills, talents, and previous experience. If you’re interested in multiple vacancies, we’ll keep the conversation open so you can consider all options.

Are you keen to help us grow and contribute to delaware’s story in AI? Feel free to connect with us if you have any questions whatsoever. Already convinced? Click the Apply Now button below, and hopefully we’ll get to meet each other soon!

delaware is committed to creating an inclusive work environment that empowers all our people. A diverse workforce is the best guarantee of success for our employees, our customers, and our partners.
