Business Controlling Manager

On a day-to-day basis, delaware’s Business Controlling Team is tasked with overseeing accounting functions, integrating finance operations, forecasting, budgeting, and more. They play an important role in strategic decision-making based on the team’s financial insights and reporting. Never underestimate the power of numbers!

As the Manager of the Business Controlling Team, you will:

• Lead and manage a team of 6 business controllers, ensuring effective collaboration and performance.
• Focus on project and solution controlling& reporting tasks such as margin analysis, project risk evaluation, actuals vs budget analysis, sales price analysis, forecasting, and more.
• Assist the business with ad hoc requests, ensuring variety in your daily tasks.
• Take ownership of dedicated reports and processes during closing and provide financial support and information during budget rounds.
• Act as the point of contact for our business when they require financial services, helping them interpret or analyze KPI reporting, delivering insights, and suggesting improvements.

As a part of our internal team, you will be working together with your colleagues mainly in Kortrijk or in Ghent (one of these will be your main office to work from). We are a very close bunch who like to bond over lunch, at the coffee machine, or during fun team activities.

• Have you held positions similar to this one?
  We’re looking for someone with at least 8 years of experience in controlling or auditing.
• Did you have your first experience in managerial tasks and people management? We’re looking for someone who can effectively lead, mentor, and develop a team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  If you did not gain a lot of experience in this, but it’s your ultimate ambition to grow in to this role soon, we’re open to having a talk with you!
• Do you combine strong analytical skills with a keen interest in financial matters? Producing financial reports has become second nature to you.
• Are you a result-oriented and IT-minded team player? You’re a go-getter who regularly aligns with colleagues. You are a (wo)man with a plan!
• Are you skilled in conflict resolution and team building? You should be able to handle team dynamics, resolve conflicts, and build a cohesive and motivated team.
• Would you say you have excellent communication skills? You express yourself fluently in English and Dutch or French.
