Novares, a global supplier of plastics solutions and complex components for the automotive industry, needed to close data centers and drastically reduce its operating costs. Novares selected delaware to migrate its SAP system to Microsoft Azure in March 2020.

Ensuring a safe migration

Novares decided to turn to delaware, with Microsoft’s support, to ensure the safe migration of an industrial application that is vital to the company. “Our expertise allowed us to create an innovative approach to meet Novares’ needs, and make a realistic offer with minimal risk,” says Reynald Queille, Partner at delaware France.

One of the biggest challenges was to move the entire technical architecture onto the cloud-servicing platform in less than 24 hours. To meet this challenge, delaware drew on the expertise of its infrastructure teams and combined the market’s best technologies, delivering this record "big bang".

delaware  has already proven its capability before by delivering cloud migration projects for several major clients in the energy and telecoms sector. Furthermore, delaware leveraged its expertise in cloud computing and its knowledge of Microsoft’s migration solutions (Azure Site Recovery) to transfer the legacy applications needed by the interfaces of Novares’ SAP applications, without any setbacks.

A project conducted entirely remotely, within a short timeframe

By mid-August, delaware had completed the seamless migration of Novares production systems. The first results exceeded the client’s expectations, with a visible increase in performance. The success story of this ambitious project proves once again delaware’s expertise in moving information systems to Azure for industrial customers.
