On Thursday 6 October, delaware Belux celebrated the opening of its new office in Luxembourg. Approximately 160 people attended this major event. Customers, partners and #peopleofdelaware gathered at the office in Belvaux and were welcomed by Olivier Spahn, Managing Director at delaware Luxembourg.

delaware’s Luxembourg entity was created in 2011 following a merge between the Belgian consultancy firm and Alliance Consulting. Around 50 Luxembourg-based delaware employees now have a new office to go to in supporting their customers. The need for a new office became quite apparent as Olivier Spahn explains: “delaware has grown very quickly in Luxembourg over the last two years. Every year, our number of consultants doubles.”

Apart from the number of consultants, however, Olivier Spahn also praises the diversity among the Luxembourg employees: “I’m very proud to have a great diversity of consultants in Luxembourg.  Among 50 employees, we have today 20 nationalities! This diversity is representing what is Luxembourg today: a country open to the world.”

From the new office and also on site with their customers, delaware Luxembourg will continue to implement solutions based on its two foremost eco-systems: SAP and Microsoft. Olivier adds: “We will guide our SAP customers in making the move to SAP S/4HANA, as it will be a mandatory step very soon.” He is also optimistic about the opportunities for Microsoft: “As the regulations changed in the last 2 years, the financial sector in Luxembourg is starting to see all opportunities of using O365 and Azure. We are clearly at the premise of the public cloud in Luxembourg and Microsoft Azure is the leader on this market.” In addition, delaware will focus on Microsoft Business Central, an ERP solution that is a perfect fit for SMEs.

Among its portfolio are customers such as SES, ArcelorMittal, Post Luxembourg, Cargolux, Viking, Landewyk, CPL, Kiswire, Foyer, Quintet, BIL, Hellef Dohem and IEE.
