How we help UCCL prepare ERP consultants for the future

UC Leuven-Limburg (UCLL)  is one of the major universities of applied sciences in Flanders. More than offering a traditional curriculum, UCLL also provides continuing education, including a postgraduate course in ERP. Kicking off its third academic year in September 2021, the one-year, blended learning course immerses graduate students and professionals into the world of SAP and consultancy.

Postgraduate course

Kurt Rommel, SAP CO consultant and lead expert at delaware, is a guest lecturer for the course and offers practical advice to UCLL: “Postgraduate courses typically target students who already hold degrees, or professionals who want to extend their knowledge of ERP/SAP or change careers. Even SAP key users, business analysts, IT people or business leaders who consider implementing SAP follow the courses. They learn about SAP HANA and its different modules, business processes, project management and even about the life of a consultant. After passing the exams, they earn the ‘basic SAP consultant’ diploma.”

Guest lectures

“When UCLL approached us with the request for a couple of lectures on finance and consulting, we were delighted to contribute,” says Kurt. In 2020 and 2021, delaware has given four lectures on topics as diverse as controlling, analytics, group reporting and planning, project management and cloud. A similar program is planned for the academic year 2021-2022.

“Knowledge sharing is really important at delaware and this program is a unique opportunity to demonstrate that fact. Moreover, it’s inspiring to connect with the students, who may well become future SAP users, customers or even colleagues, and learn about their needs and concerns surrounding SAP.”
