The Functional Coordinator Senior Consultant plays a pivotal role in managing and coordinating SAP S/4HANA functional streams across private and public cloud environments. This position ensures seamless integration of business processes with SAP solutions, oversees functional design and implementation, and acts as a key liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders. The role demands strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA functionalities, leadership in project coordination, and the ability to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with organizational goals.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination

    • Lead functional workstreams for SAP S/4HANA implementations in private and public cloud environments.
    • Coordinate activities between functional teams, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
    • Ensure timely delivery of project milestones and adherence to scope and quality standards.

  • Functional Expertise

    • Provide guidance on SAP S/4HANA modules (Finance, Controlling, Logistics, Procurement, etc.).
    • Validate functional specifications and ensure alignment with business requirements.
    • Support configuration, testing, and deployment activities.

  • Stakeholder Management

    • Act as the primary point of contact for functional queries and escalations.
    • Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and provide updates.
    • Communicate effectively across global teams and manage expectations.

  • Quality Assurance

    • Review deliverables for compliance with best practices and standards.
    • Ensure proper documentation of processes, configurations, and functional designs.

  • Continuous Improvement

    • Identify opportunities for process optimization and system enhancements.
    • Support change management and training initiatives for end-users.

Qualifications

  • Education

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Experience

    • Minimum of 8 years in SAP functional roles, with at least 3 years in a coordination or lead position.
    • Proven experience in SAP S/4HANA implementations (private and public cloud).
    • Strong understanding of SAP best practices and integration points.

  • Skills

    • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
    • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
    • Proficiency in SAP configuration and functional design.
    • Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
    • Ability to work in a global, multicultural environment.

  • Certifications

    • SAP S/4HANA certification preferred.
    • Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile) are an advantage.
