SAP Data Migration Senior Consultant - Private Cloud (Master Data)

Morocco

Responsible for the technical design, development, unit testing, quality assurance, peer review, and execution of SAP end-to-end data migration routines for data objects within area of responsibility in S/4HANA Public and Private Cloud. Includes the use  of Migration Cockpit, LTMOM, SQL, and LSMW. 
Work with the ETL architect to design and evolve the overall data migration method and framework.

Roles and Responsibilities

In-depth technical understanding of the end-to-end data migration process, from the perspective of requirements gathering, data mapping, ETL processing, and technical reconciliation.
Ability to take ownership of the design of the end-to-end data migration process for data objects within area of responsibility, including the execution of Migration Cockpit, LTMOM and LSMW routines.
Development & unit testing of medium to high complexity ETL tool routines.
Development & unit testing of medium to high complexity LSMW routines (using recordings, IDOC or BAPI calls).
Good understanding of and experience in ALE setup, IDOC processing, IDOC extensions, inbound IDOC processing customization.
Strong MS-Excel skills for data manipulation, reconciliation and analysis.
Functional awareness of the SAP data model, in particular in the areas of Finance, Procurement or Sales.
Good verbal and written communication skills (English).
Proactive, can-do attitude, and willingness to learn new technologies or take on challenging tasks.
Having worked on global SAP deployments in a data migration role, designing ETL solutions which are fit-for-purpose for template deployments.
Having provided guidance to junior consultants, including, but not limited to, quality assurance, technical guidance, overseeing delivery, coaching and upskilling.
Knowledge of migration into SAP-MDG, although not essential, is desirable.
Input into, and contribute to, the overall design of the data migration framework & toolsets.

Qualifications

Deliverables & Responsibilities

Using the Data Object Mapping Document (DOMD) and the business rules 
documented within the DOMD, as input, design & develop ETL code/routines using
SQL, LSMW.
Complete Unit Test of all ETL routines, change requests and/or defects.
Defect resolution.
Develop pre and/or post-load validation routines based on specification provided 
by Functional Domain (as agreed with BDOs).
Run pre-load validation routines and provide error reporting.
Perform post-load technical reconciliation and document results.
Produce post-load validation reports.
Pro-actively follow up on any clarifications / issues which arise during ETL
execution.
Provide accurate/realistic estimates to data lead on ETL development and 
execution.
Provide guidance to Junior consultants.

Quality and Timeliness of Deliverables

Gain understanding of all expected deliverables, deadlines, and required sign-off 
process.
Ensure that all deliverables and milestones are delivered on time and to the level of quality expected by Delaware and Client, for own deliverables and those of one or more junior team members.
Adopt efficient ways of working to reduce cost or risk to Delaware and Client.
Provide regular and accurate updates on status to offshore or onsite data lead, and escalate in a timely manner any issues or where any part of the deliverable is unclear.
Keep team lead updated on all outstanding issues / clarifications and escalate, where necessary.
Demonstrate ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

Documentation

Gain understanding documentation standards and templates.
Provide documentation to a level of quality expected by Delaware and Client which 
effectively supports delivery, either onsite or offshore.
Use of documentation tools (SharePoint, Cloud ALM, etc.) in line with project 
standards/processes/guidelines.

Methodology

Awareness & understanding of Delaware data migration methodology.
Assist in developing the Delaware data migration methodology, and adapt this to the 
specific needs of the program.
Ensure own deliverables and activities, and those of junior team members, follow 
Delaware’s established methodology.
