We are looking for a Senior Cloud Network Connectivity Lead to join our IT
team and take functional ownership of our global network architecture. This role is pivotal in
managing our existing cloud-native environment while architecting the next generation of
secure customer connectivity. You will act as the functional lead for the networking stream
across Belgium, Hungary, and the Philippines.
Please note: While we are a consulting company, this is an internal IT role. You will be working
for our own organization, not for external clients. Our IT team is responsible for providing a
modern, secure, and efficient digital foundation for our employees worldwide.
As the Cloud Network Connectivity Lead, you will oversee our Azure-native network, manage
our critical Cisco ASA footprint in the cloud, and drive operational excellence across the
stream. You will balance maintaining our current customer connectivity platform with
researching and implementing new, secure ways to connect (SASE/ZTNA).

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Cloud & Network Architecture:
Manage and optimize our existing cloud-based network architecture, specifically
utilizing Azure Global VNet Peering, Virtual WAN, and NSGs.
Take ownership of the current secure customer connectivity platform (hosted on Cisco
ASA in Azure) while actively designing future-proof alternatives to securely connect to
customer environments.
Lead the investigation and roadmap for modern connectivity solutions, moving toward
Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and SASE where applicable.
Maintain and improve our office network setup, utilizing Barracuda NGFW, Cisco
Switchen, Cisco Wireless and 802.1x/Radius/Cisco ISE stacks
2. Security & Perimeter Management:
Own the perimeter security strategy, managing Cisco ASA, Checkpoint, and Barracuda
firewalls to ensure our environment remains secure.
Oversee the Web Application Firewall (WAF) strategy, ensuring public-facing
applications are protected against modern web threats.
Collaborate with the Security Operations team to implement network segmentation
and strict access controls.
3. Operational Excellence & Project Methodology
Ensure the reliability of critical Site-to-Site (S2S) VPN connections, which are vital for our
customer monitoring and support services.
Apply ITIL principles to incident, problem, and change management processes,
ensuring stability and predictable service delivery.
Lead technical projects according to internal project methodologies, ensuring clear
milestones, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
4. Functional Leadership:
Act as the Functional Lead for the global networking stream (engineers located in
Belgium, Hungary, and the Philippines).
Provide technical coaching and guidance to the team, fostering a culture of
knowledge sharing and "security-first" thinking.
Coordinate resources and priorities across the different regions to ensure global
coverage.
Collaborate with teamleads, architects and business to drive change and operational
excellence
5. Vendor & Lifecycle Management:
Manage technical relationships with ISPs and hardware vendors to ensure service levels
are met.
Plan and execute lifecycle refreshes for office hardware (Switches, Access Points) and
coordinate firmware upgrades to maintain security compliance.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications & Experience:
10+ years of experience in Network Engineering with a strong focus on enterprise and
cloud environments.
Deep hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure Networking (Global VNet Peering, vWAN,
ExpressRoute, VPN Gateways).
Strong experience managing Cisco ASA firewalls, specifically within a cloud context.
Proven experience managing enterprise firewalls (Checkpoint or Barracuda) and WAF
technologies.
Experience with ITIL processes and structured project management methodologies.
Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to explain complex architectural
concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications such as CCIE, AZ-305, CISSP or similar.
Experience with scripting/automation (PowerShell, Ansible).
Knowledge of ISO 27001 compliance regarding network security.
