SAP Lead Developer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated SAP S/4HANA Cloud Developer with hands-on experience in both Private and Public Cloud environments, and strong proficiency in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable solutions that integrate seamlessly with SAP S/4HANA and leverage the capabilities of BTP to enhance business processes and digital transformation initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and extend applications on SAP S/4HANA (Private and Public Cloud) using ABAP RESTful Programming Model (RAP), CDS views, and Fiori/UI5.
  • Design and implement cloud-native solutions using SAP BTP services such as CAP (Cloud Application Programming), Integration Suite, Workflow Management, and Event Mesh.
  • Collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Build and manage APIs and microservices for integration between SAP and non-SAP systems.
  • Ensure compliance with SAP best practices, security standards, and performance optimization.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across cloud environments.
  • Stay current with SAP innovations and recommend improvements or new technologies.

For Team Lead role

  • Proven experience leading a small development team (task planning, delegation, mentoring, and delivery ownership).
  • Strong technical decision-making: able to define solution approach, review designs, and guide architecture for S/4HANA Cloud development.
  • Hands-on code review capability across ABAP/RAP, CDS/OData, Fiori/UI5 and/or CAP; enforces coding standards and best practices.
  • Delivery management skills: estimates, manages risks/dependencies, tracks progress, and ensures on-time, quality releases.
  • Stakeholder management: communicates clearly with functional teams/business, translates requirements into executable technical work.
  • Strong integration mindset: API governance, security, and performance considerations for SAP and non-SAP integrations.
  • Operational ownership: supports incident/problem management, drives root-cause analysis, and implements preventive improvements (ITSM).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in SAP development in both project and AMS environment, with at least 2 years in S/4HANA Cloud (Private/Public).
  • Strong experience with SAP BTP services and tools.
  • Proficiency in ABAP, CDS, OData, Fiori/UI5, and CAP.
  • Experience with SAP Integration Suite, API Management, and Event-Driven Architecture.
  • Familiarity with cloud deployment strategies.
  • Experience in ITSM tool like SNOW, Xurrent, ManageEngine
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
