Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE Functional Consultant

India

We are looking for a seasoned Dynamics 365 CE Consultant with a proven track record in designing and implementing robust Parts Management solutions within the Customer Engagement module. You will be the subject matter expert, responsible for guiding our clients through the entire project life cycle – from discovery and design to development and support. Your deep functional and technical knowledge will be critical in transforming our clients’ service, sales, and inventory operations for spare parts. 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Solution Design & Architecture: Lead the design of end-to-end Parts Management solutions within D365 CE, including but not limited to: Parts Cataloging, Inventory Management (Warehousing & Logistics), Pricing, Requisitioning and Fulfillment processes.  
  • Requirement Analysis: Conduct workshops with key business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate complex business requirements into functional and technical specifications for the D365 CE platform. 
  • Implementation & Configuration: Hands-on configuration and customization of D365 CE to build the Parts Management solution. This includes core entities, business process flows, security roles, and data models specific to parts and service operations. 
  • Integration & Data Migration: Design and oversee integrations between the D365 CE Parts Management module and other systems (ERP for Financials, 3-rd party logistics systems, e-commerce platforms). Plan and execute data migration strategies for parts data.  
  • Client Advisory: act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insights on industry best practices and recommending process improvements leveraging the D365 CE platform.  
  • Project Lifecycle Management: Lead and contribute to all phases of a minimum of 3 full-lifecycle implementations, from pre-sales support and discovery to Go-Live and post-implementation hyper-care.  
  • Team Collaboration & Mentorship: Work collaboratively with project managers, technical architects, and developers. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior candidates. 

Qualifications

  • Consultancy Experience: A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in a consultancy role, specifically implementing Microsoft Dynamics CRM / Dynamics 365 CE. 
  • Full-Lifecycle Expertise: Demonstrable experience with at least 3 end-to-end full lifecycle implementations of Dynamics 365 CE, where you played a key functional or lead role. 
  • Parts Management Specialization: Proven, hands-on experience in designing and implementing a Parts Management solution within D365 CE. Your experience must include work on: Parts Catalog & Hierarchy, Inventory Control (Non-ERP), Pricing & Discounting Models, Requisition to Fulfillment Processes, and Returns Management (RMA) within the CE context and integration into ERP. 
  • Technical & Functional Proficiency: Deep functional knowledge of D365 CE core modules (Sales, Customer Service, Field Service). Strong hands-on skills in configuring D365 CE: entities, workflows, business process flows, power automate, business rules and security models. Experience with solution design and creating functional design documents (FDD). 
  • Language Skills: Absolute fluency in English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to lead client workshops and create clear, concise documentation.  

Desirable Skills

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Certifications (MB-210, MB-230, MB-240, PL-200) 
  • Experience with Power Platforms (Power Apps, Power Automate) 
  • Understanding of integration patterns and tools (Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps) 
  • Experience in the Manufacturing, Automative, or Industrial Equipment sectors 
  • Knowledge of adjacent service management concepts like Warranty Management and Contract Servicing.
