delaware is a multinational IT consulting firm with over 6,000 employees. Our Hungarian operation is constantly looking for new talent, and currently the Data & Analytics team is hiring a Senior Data Engineer.

We are setting up a One Data Platform to bring together data from various data sources around the business (ERP, CRM and various other applications). The data platform is built with Databricks, the reports with Power BI. To be able to expand, we are looking for a senior data engineer to join the team.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Build, implement, and maintain Azure-based data infrastructure supporting the BI platform and global data strategy
  • Develop and manage data pipelines using Azure Data FactoryDatabricksSQL, and Python for data ingestion, transformation, and quality improvement
  • Design, enhance, and maintain the Triana data warehouse (Azure SQL, T‑SQL objects) through planned and ad‑hoc development
  • Collaborate with Business/Data Analysts, Product Owners, and Account Teams to define data requirements, resolve issues, and deliver scalable solutions
  • Contribute to data integration design, agile delivery, stakeholder communication, and continuous improvement to turn raw data into actionable insights

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years’ experience as a Data Engineer, ideally with Microsoft technologies
  • Know your way around Azure, Databricks, Azure Data Factory and Power BI
  • Understand lakehouse architectures and ETL/ELT flows
  • Be proficient in SQL language in all its aspects
  • Have knowledge of the Python language (or Spark)
  • Has experience ingesting data from a variety of data sources (SQL database, Rest API, etc.)
  • Is fluent in English & Hungarian, both oral and written

Nice to have:

  • Experience in more advanced analytics cases (e.g., AI aspects, data science, etc.)
  • Knowledge of other Microsoft tooling, e.g., Power Apps, other Azure components, etc.
