Delaware Consulting expands presence in Southeast Asia with move into new regional support hub in the Philippines
Company to quadruple headcount in the next three to five years
Delaware Consulting International is strengthening its presence in the Philippines with the move into a new office in the Philippines. Part of the company’s growth strategy in the region, the new office will bring the company closer to its customers in the Philippines and the rest of Southeast Asia as it acts as regional technical and sales support hub.
The operations of Delaware Consulting’s Philippines are headed by Arnel “Bon” de Vera, a senior manager with over 20 years’ experience serving the local and international markets alike, and currently has a staff strength of thirty employees with plans for thirty more hires in the next six months, expected to quadruple in the next three to five years. The office will support Delaware’s sales and project efforts at large and comes with trained resources for the implementation of SAP, OpenText and Microsoft projects.
Christophe Derdeyn, Partner and Managing Director at Delaware Asia Pacific said, “The Philippines is an attractive choice for an office location and we are genuinely proud to move to our new prime base of operations just less than one year after starting up. Besides close proximity to other key Southeast Asian markets, it offers a stable infrastructure, as well as a dynamic, versatile and well-trained workforce that possesses a global mindset. We look forward to further accelerating our growth locally and in the region thanks to this move.”
The opening was officiated by Mr De Vera and Mr Derdeyn as local and regional representatives as well as a number of senior partners of the global Delaware Consulting group such as Wim van Eyken, Jan Vets and Toon Vermeersch. Delaware Consulting’s founding partner Peter Oyserman and the Belgian ambassador, H.E. Mr. Roland Van Remoortele, were welcomed as guests of honor.
As a prime partner for SAP, OpenText and Microsoft, Delaware Consulting centers its activities around operational excellence, business insights and customer experience. Some of its key customers in the Philippines include SMART Telecom and Maynilad Water.
