Senior Accountant

We are looking for a Sr. Accountant who can independently manage accounts, taxation, and audits for the India entity of delaware group. Candidate will be responsible to work with the global accounting team to ensure the compliance of global accounting practices and MIS reporting to India Management and Global Management.  

What will you be doing as a Senior Accountant @ delaware India? 

  • Ensure that the day-to-day books of accounts are up to date in SAP S/4 system as per the standard accounting practices  

  • Perform bank reconciliations, manage bank fundings and day to day operation of company bank accounts 

  • Prepare and oversee the budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow requirements 

  • Manage withholding tax deductions, returns and reconciliations.  

  • Manage GST payments, returns, reconciliations and coordination with the suppliers for any disputes  

  • Manage and coordinate timely payment and recurring monthly returns of ESI / PF.  

  • Ensure timely monthly, quarterly and yearly closer of books of accounts 

  • Liaise with Auditors on audit requirement, support them in completion of the audit and fiscal year closing 

  • Liaise with corporate accounting team and implement charge backs, intercompany invoicing, transfer pricing regulations 

  • Provide monthly financials MIS as per the company policies 

Do you have what it takes to become our new colleague? 

  • Overall 6+ year of experience in managing accounts, GST, withholding taxes and audits  

  • Chartered Accountant qualification with 0-2 year working experience in accounting department preferably in IT (Information Technology) industry 

  • Sound knowledge of local GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and local laws for statutory reporting requirements 

  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills 

  • Good knowledge of MS office and related software 

  • Experience with SAP is required 

  • Fluent English in writing and speaking
