About Delaware

Our aim is to improve our customer's businesses by enabling them to reach their full potential. Our consultants form a strong partnership with our customers, in order to understand the intricacies of their business so that we're able to deliver a technology solution that empowers their organisation. We deliver results by combining Project and Change Management and Technology solutions (SAP and Microsoft), delivering these with quiet confidence and a human touch.

So if you’re looking for a career full of variety and challenge where you can continually grow, then you’ll love what we do.

More about Delaware.

Our graduate programme

It all starts with our 5-week Academy where you will learn about what we do in more depth, understand what being a consultant entails, meet key people within your team and generally get a feel for what life is like at Delaware. We ask our Grads to relocate to Bristol so they can work together (and learn together) from our Hub.

Our graduate programme lasts for 3 years and on target progression would be as follows (you will progress faster if your performance is exceptional):

  • 12 months - pay increase.
  • 24 months - promotion to Junior Consultant.
  • 36 months - promotion to Consultant.

Throughout the Programme we run various courses and updates through Foundation+, our Graduate Training scheme, so there is plenty of opportunity to learn.

You’ll be assigned a Mentor who will support you throughout the programme. They will be key for your development and will provide regular feedback on your performance. They will help you to navigate the business, understand your career path and what is expected of you and understand more about the area of the business you’re assigned to.

Delivery Management

Delivery Management encompasses our Delaware Project Directors, Managers and PMO (Project Management Office).

Perhaps the most visible functional area, delivery excellence encompasses the planning, controlling and reporting of each project, working closely with our clients to provide the best 'delivery' we can!

Functional

Our functional consultants are specialists in Microsoft and SAP. With knowledge across the board covering finance, production planning, manufacturing, sales and distribution, HR, these consultants spend their time working closely with the client to understand current business processes.

Within the delivery of a project, they take these current processes on existing software and configure the software to tailor exactly to the client's needs.

Technical, Data & Analytics

Technical consultants lay the foundation for all of our project work. They specialise in designing and developing the system itself, analysing and migrating through the relevant data and ensuring the system is secure and protected.

Technical consultants are often required to 'build' any client specific enhancements or customisations to the software as advised by our functional consultants, meaning that their skill set includes various coding languages as well as extensive knowledge of software, extensions and patches.

Change Management

Projects often herald a difficult time for our clients. Our change management consultants identify, contain and manage risk resulting from the implementation of a new IT system.

These consultants provide advisory services on all areas of business and deploy leading edge technology to drive operational efficiency and reduce working capital costs. They focus on three elements necessary to implement a successful transformation project: people, process and technology.
