Delaware Consulting welcomes its 1000th employeeAntwerp, 23 February 2015 – Delaware Consulting has now officially crossed the 1000 employees mark. A notable milestone, as the consulting partnership started end of 2003 with just 124 highly-motivated professionals in an office in Kortrijk, Belgium. Deliberately playing the growth card during the global financial crisis, Delaware Consulting highlights its keen eye for opportunities.
It was September 30, 2003 when Luc Van Aelbroeck, Peter Oyserman and Jan Delaere decided to buy the company from Deloitte and start an independent consultancy partnership. A bold move that paid off. Delaware Consulting has now become a young and dynamic company that runs its operations from 17 offices in 8 countries. What’s even more impressive: the organization recently reached the milestone of 1000 employees worldwide.
Continual investment in HRManaging Partner Peter Oyserman explains this success: “We’ve never stopped investing in human resources, recruiting various profiles. What’s more, our unique company culture – with its focus on entrepreneurship, team spirit and mutual respect – ensures a low staff turnover.”
Two years after the company became independent, it had already grown by 50 per cent. Strategic growth direction was needed. Delaware Consulting decided to reduce its software offering to SAP and Microsoft, and to focus more on international expansion. The first overseas office was established in China. Later, branches were set up in the US, Singapore and other countries.
