You are a strong communicator and like to be in contact with people at different levels of the organization. Through your strong personal and administrative skills you are experienced in building meaningful personal relationships, manage your tasks thoroughly and deliver quick results. You have excellent organizational skills, remain calm under pressure and are good at multi-tasking.

In order to thrive in a challenging and demanding executive environment, you are hardworking, discrete and proactive. You continuously look for new ways to lend support or make improvements to benefit your company. You have a positive attitude and always go the extra mile for your colleagues. As a Junior Legal Assistant you are flexible and able to deal with unexpected tasks.

Who are we?

Small but mighty – that’s the delaware Legal team! We play a crucial role in connecting the dots between the business, our partners and the dedicated Sales team. We’re quite busy bees: our duties range from corporate governance and risk mitigation to contract reviews, raising awareness, managing delaware’s insurance portfolio, and dealing with IP and data protection matters.  


To continue to keep pace with the ever-growing workload, we will need some help by a legal assistant who takes a great deal of the legal administration off our hands. This will allow us , as the Legal team to take a more proactive approach in supporting the business. Are you that essential extra pair of hands we’re looking for?

What will you be doing?

Let’s have a closer look at your to-do list:

  • You will be handling legal administration
    • Updating trade register registrations, official publications, UBO register...
    • Management of (digital) signatures. 
    • Updating Identity documentation and coordinating the legalizing and apostilles
    • Digital filing and archiving
  • You will be centralizing compliance documentation present in the different countries.
  • You will be updating information for insurers and distributing insurance certificates.
  • You will be actualizing and completing document templates
  • You will be following up of tasks and deadlines


delaware has offices in Gent, Antwerpen, Wavre, Kortrijk and Lummen. As a Legal Assistant, you will mainly be working at the Kortrijk offices, where the rest of the Legal team is based. We’ll make sure to save you a seat! You may also be required to travel to our Gent or Antwerpen offices.

  • have a Bachelor’s degree in Office Management and Communication or have a few years of relevant work experience.
  • combine strong organizational skills with a keen interest in business relations? You are very organized in your work, accurate and being pro-active is one of your strong suits.
  • are communicative, sociable and assertive?
  • have a good understanding of Office 365 and all-round administrative assignments bring you fulfillment.
  • can express yourself well in English and Dutch? Great! This is important to communicate with your colleagues across the globe.
  • are a quick learner, work independently in a structured environment, take ownership of your work and show initiative in a flexible and international environment?
