Who are we?

The internal IT Team is a bunch of enthusiastic colleagues with wide-ranging skills – from administrative support, over internal and external helpdesk colleagues, software specialists, network specialists to IT security professionals – we have it all. And there’s more than 20 of us: team spirit and a vibrant working atmosphere guaranteed!

It probably doesn’t come as a surprise: In a company as focused on IT as delaware, our internal IT department definitely plays a key role. The team ensures the continued availability and maximum reliability of our IT systems, applications and devices, so that all consultants can keep delivering the quality and flexibility our customers love and deserve.
 

Just so you know: delaware has its offices in Antwerp, Ghent, Kortrijk, Lummen, Liège and Wavre. As a Digital Workplace Support Officer, your home base will be the Kortrijk office, where the rest of your team is located. We’ll make sure to save you a seat! You’ll work in an international context (Belgium, The Philippines and Brazil) and meet with people from all over the world.

What will you be doing?

You will be assisting in shaping our digital workplace alongside a senior colleague with years of experience. Your customers? The #peopleofdelaware – about 3.500 end-users worldwide. Your main goal is to optimize their IT end-user experience so every colleague can work whenever, wherever, and however they want.

Specifically, you will build the digital workplace for our consultants and subcontractors. It means providing them with efficient and secure platforms on which they can do their daily job.  It covers the management of our laptops, smartphones/tablets,… but also virtual desktop environments that can be used as a day-to-day or backup environment.

You will optimize the rollout and maintenance of our internal IT hardware in close collaboration with the first- and second-line service desk. In doing so, you will take a critical look at the whole process, finding new ways to make it go more smoothly and secure. You will also be responsible for keeping our end user devices up to date, using modern cloud based technology. Moreover, you will assist in the installation and maintenance of our hybrid meeting rooms.

Is there a match?

  • have a bachelor’s degree;
  • have 2 years of experience in IT workplace management and you know the ins and outs of Microsoft Intune and Windows 11. Experience with setting up hybrid meeting rooms is a plus.
  • have a mindset where user experience comes first in which replacing a digital workplace should be a zero effort for our end users.
  • believe in automation and are always looking to do things in the most efficient way.
  • are service minded, customer friendly and also technically skilled.
  • can bring structure to rather complex situations thanks to your efficient organizational skills.
  • can express yourself fluently in English, as you will be working in a highly international context. Dutch or French proficiency would definitely be a plus.
  • Are ambitious and demonstrate a strong problem-solving mindset. You don’t see problems, only solutions.
