Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Microsoft, cloud & infrastructure, some experience, internal role

You believe, just like we do, that cloud technology is not only the future, but that the future is now. Beyond that, you embrace the new way of working. DevOps, Infrastructure-as-Code, Automation, Configuration management,…  any proven modern efficiency-gaining technology sounds like music to your – and our - ears.

You’re convinced that security is more and more important as hardware is more and more replaced by software or cloud services. Your motto? Safety first!

As an ambitious and inquisitive professional, you are eager to expand both your skill set and knowledge, but also that of your colleagues. After all, we’re all about team spirit!

Who are we?

You’ll be joining the international IT support team. And when we say international, we mean it. Your direct colleagues are located in 12 different countries and cultures around the globe. They will rely on you to share knowledge and guide them in offering the best solutions to their local peers. In other words, you will make sure that the people of delaware can do what they like to do best wherever they work or live: to excel at their jobs and keep their customers happy.

Just so you know: delaware has its offices in Antwerp, Ghent, Kortrijk, Lummen, Liège and Wavre, but you’ll find the majority of your internal IT colleagues in Kortrijk.

What will you be doing?

You’ll make sure that our cloud environment is running smoothly. But we even want to go beyond and offer our consultants the best possible end-user experience. That’s why, within delaware, our internal IT team is a true pioneer when it comes to new and innovative technologies and solutions.

You will help us to build bridges between the technology that is already out there, and by what you think is the best way forward. But to make our environment future-proof, you know that you can never lose sight of delaware’s growth perspective as well.

You will get a lot of freedom to play your part when it comes to innovation. Do you like managing applications and tools all by yourself? Choosing the best solutions out there? With us, you can do that. Build a compelling story and convince us to follow you where you want to take us.

Is there a match?

Let’s see. If you…

…then you may be the Cloud Infrastructure Engineer we’re looking for!

  • have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or computer sciences
  • have at least have 3 years’ experience with Cloud (ideally Microsoft Azure).
And do you have affinity for one or more of these topics: Microservices, Infrastructure -as-code, Security, DevOps, Cloud Networking, Monitoring, Middleware, API Management, Automated Testing.
  • excel at communicating in English every day?
  • want to grasp the opportunity to dive into state-of-the-art technology with a lot of creative freedom to choose your path within our infra and networking team?
  • Besides that, an obvious affection to security is mandatory.  In whatever we touch, we think security first, and so do you…
