what to expect?

  • Friday, March 1 - Kick-off (📍 online):
As we mentioned, this is a hybride hackathon under the moto: work with your team from where you want - when you want.
On Friday March 1, you'll receive an e-mail with all the information about your team, your case, your customer & your delaware coach.
    Ready - set - go 🚀

  • Work, work, work, ...
In the meantime, you will have the chance to work with your team on your innovation case alongside your designated coach at the respective customer or at the delaware Antwerp office.

  • Thursday March 21 at FTI festival Antwerp (📍Supernova):
Game time! Come and join us in the morning as of 8h for breakfast.
At 9h the final pitches will start. After that the rest of the day will be filled with opportunities to explore and immerse yourself in the world of innovation.

But hey, all work and no play? That's not our style!
Food and drinks will be provided during the entire day. We'll treat you to some more refreshing drinks after we announce the big winner of the day! 🏆

delaware will be co-hosting three hackathons across Hasselt, Ghent & Antwerp. In Antwerp, innovation cases will focus mostly on the topics of chemicals. Cases can be tackled from different angles by multi-disciplinary teams, so students with varied backgrounds are welcome to join.

doing it the delaware way

Of course, as always, we remain true to our identity, so we are approaching this hackathon 'the delaware way'.

But what does that mean?

meet the customer

Get to understand their concrete needs . This direct interaction helps in comprehending the customer's pain points, challenges, and requirements better.

we are better together

You will be paired with a delaware coach who will guide you through the process and help you bring your ideas to life. Interacting with the coach allows for immediate feedback on ideas or prototypes.

work from where and when you want

This year, we're doing things differently with a hybrid hackathon, giving you the flexibility to work when and where you want. We’ll kick-off on the first of March –  Here, you will receive information about the case you will be working on and meet your delaware coach.

We’ll meet on 21 March for the jury at  Supernova Antwerpen.

We hope you’ll come up with innovative, yet pragmatic approaches which could be further developed to solve this problem. There are no restrictions in terms of technology, but we expect you to be original with your solution.

Whether you’re an IT or business student, you’ll be able to bring your own expertise to the table. Up to you to build, innovate, have fun and learn.
