delaware to build futureproof IT platform of Eandis

Kortrijk, 13 July 2017 – delaware has signed an agreement with energy grid company Eandis to create an IT environment that is ready for tomorrow’s business needs. Over the course of the next six years, delaware will help build the IT foundations, among others by implementing SAP S/4HANA as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solutions, and by rolling out Esri’s Geographical Information System (GIS).
Today, Eandis is already working with an SAP ERP system, but its current solution is aging and has seen a lot of customizations. By switching to S/4HANA, which has been designed on basis of the most modern technologies, Eandis wants to leverage a competitive solution with pre-integrated best practices. In this way, applications can be delivered to the business faster, with a higher quality and at lower costs.

delaware also took into account Eandis’s need for a strongly reduced complexity of its application landscape, and prioritized a thorough integration approach. The ERP, EAM and GIS solutions offered by delaware will be completely integrated with one another by the S/4HANA platform. In addition, Eandis and delaware teams will make sure all data will be accessible through a Mobile Application Development Platform (MADP) based on the Microsoft Azure framework. This platform will be set up to be futureproof, and will allow Eandis to remain innovative in a fast-paced energy landscape marked by advanced digitalization.
delaware is very experienced in large-scale integration journeys and capable of rolling out an end-to-end solution in a thoughtful and pragmatic way.
With delaware, Eandis has chosen a long-term partner with the DNA of a true integrator and a well-founded vision. “We are very experienced in large-scale integration journeys and we are capable of rolling out an end-to-end solution in a thoughtful and pragmatic way. In addition, Eandis isn’t exactly an unknown quantity for us. Just like in our previous projects, we will be collaborating closely with the Eandis team to make sure the transformation project goes well,” says Wouter Fransoo, delaware partner.
The Eandis contract puts the cherry on top of our long-standing work for the utilities sector in general and Eandis in particular.
Erwin Blommaert, Senior Manager and Utility Business responsible at delaware, comments: “The Eandis contract puts the cherry on top of our long-standing work for the utilities sector in general and Eandis in particular. We’re looking forward to take the next steps in an even ‘smarter’ organization together with Eandis. Day after day, we will fully commit ourselves to create maximum added value thanks to our approach and together with our partners.”
