If you want to collaborate smoothly and closely in the future, while at the same time getting the most out of (new) digital technologies,
you will need to connect people, machines, businesses and systems.
With Industry 4.0 knocking on everyone’s door, factories will become smart by using connected systems to improve inefficiencies and optimize operations in the production process and supply chain. Of course, the cloud is the best place to do that. But how far is cloud technology today? What can you learn from others about bottlenecks when moving to the cloud? If you want to go digital, what do you need to know about security and privacy? And what can blockchain do for your business?
Let us help you find the answers to these questions at SAPience’s 2018 User Day on March 20.
March 20 - 8:30 am to 7 pm
Jozef Mertensstraat 140
(SAPience members can register for this event free of charge)

Data Virtualization offers great opportunities for real-time analytics, agile reporting and reduced TCO for analytics. Thanks to SAP, there are now multiple technological solutions that can be explored. This session will take you through a diverse selection of customer use cases to highlight the potential of these technologies, and compare them with (an agnostic) persistent data warehouse approach. Furthermore, a specific use case concerning Smart Manufacturing will show you the ease with which (self-service) analytics can be implemented on the shop floor. This is accomplished by using virtualization to make external MES (IoT pre-processed) data available to the user-community.
Speaker: Marc Thienpont
Collaboration is key when talking about supply chain execution. It is a proven fact that collaboration between supply chain partners will improve supply chain efficiency overall. As collaboration starts with trust and information sharing, blockchain technology could serve as the ideal foundation layer within this context. In this session, you will discover how our team offers a realistic, concrete approach to these kind of collaboration models. You will learn how easy it is to set up and design a blockchain model, while getting a better understanding of why it is such a challenge to align several supply chain partners and stakeholders. Join us and hear more about our 3-steps approach to collaborating with blockchain.
Speakers: Michael Bulthé
In this session, you will deep dive into Artificial Intelligence and Chatbot technology, with specific focus on the solution components behind them. Using delaware as a concrete example, you will see how these technologies can make your users more productive. Experience how easy it is for delaware employees to register illness upload absence notes by using Skype for Business connected to SAP SuccessFactors and OpenText. We will also share lessons learned during our implementation process and guide you through the necessary steps for bringing this same value to your own employees and back office.
Speakers: Juan Staes and Lesly Janssens
IoT provides the means to capture and build the Digital Twin, whereas Advanced Analytics supports pattern recognition that goes beyond human capabilities. Bringing these two worlds together can significantly improve and potentially even disrupt processes. This session uses an easy logistics case to help you discover the four stages of maturity within these technologies.
Speaker: Mark Thienpondt
Augmented Reality can make the day-to-day work of engineers and technicians more intuitive, allowing them to perform digital troubleshooting or walk through the repair process step-by-step. In this session, you will learn how AR takes field service to the next level. This allows technicians to spend more time in the field, while providing supervisors with more accurate information granting them greater insight into the availability of technicians, thus reducing red tape. Join us and see how Field Service AR works in practice.
Speakers: Nick Thienpondt and Rémi Krick
