Delaware Consulting & Getronics BeLux sign strategic partnership

Delaware Consulting to take over the Getronics Collaboration business and Getronics to take care of Delaware Consulting’s IT infrastructure

Brussels/Kortrijk, 18 September 2012  – IT services provider Delaware Consulting Belgium and Getronics Belux, a leading service provider in ICT infrastructure and outsourcing, are announcing a strategic partnership. By October 1st 2012 the Getronics Collaboration practices in Belgium and Luxembourg will become part of Delaware Consulting. This creates a team of more than 50 professionals specialized in Microsoft’s renowned web application platform, turning Delaware Consulting into the leading provider of SharePoint-based applications in Belgium and Luxembourg.

Conversely, Delaware Consulting will outsource its IT infrastructure to Getronics, reinforcing Getronics’ position as a major ICT infrastructure and outsourcing company.

The partnership will also allow clients to benefit from end-to-end ICT solutions for the New World of Work, combining New World of Work (NWOW) business consultancy and infrastructure platforms from Getronics with the applications expertise of Delaware Consulting.
Getronics, owned by Munich-based AURELIUS Group, is a global ICT services provider that employs over 4,000 people in 13 countries, with a complete portfolio of integrated ICT services, including specialisation in ICT infrastructure outsourcing. Getronics’ customers include large enterprises and public sector organizations.

Complementary to Getronics, Delaware Consulting is an international partnership counting 750 professionals with a focus on business solutions that are based on the proven platforms of SAP, OpenText, Microsoft and Sitecore.

Delaware Consulting and Getronics will work closely together in the future, with both companies focusing on their respective strengths. Key to this partnership is the New World of Work (NWOW) concept, to which Getronics is strongly committed. Through their partnership, Delaware will offer clients the applications required to enable NWOW, while Getronics will continue to focus on NWOW business consultancy and services that help organizations benefit from an agile ICT infrastructure that enables people to work anywhere anytime.

Leading provider

This partnership demonstrates Delaware Consulting’s strategy concerning Microsoft-based solutions and Information Management. The partnership will create the capacity to help organizations automate their core processes based on solid applications.

“With this agreement we accomplish two key objectives at once,” says Patrick Andersen, partner at Delaware Consulting. “We have achieved our strategic ambition to become the leading provider of Microsoft SharePoint services in Belgium and Luxembourg. At the same time, we have realized a strategic partnership in collaborative applications with Getronics, the leading ICT provider of end-to-end NWOW solutions.”

Focus on our core competencies & boosting consulting activities

With this partnership thirty-one (31) Microsoft Collaboration experts from Getronics will move to Delaware Consulting. “I am convinced that Delaware Consulting will be a good home for our people,” says Benny Corvers, Consulting & Business Development Director at Getronics. “Together we will be able to offer clients scale and depth of expertise across the solutions stack while both of us can focus on our core business”.
Getronics will continue to focus on their core competence and this includes managing the ICT environment of Delaware Consulting and supporting a staff of 750 consultants located in 7 different countries with an innovative Cloud-based solution. “The outsourcing contract is another dimension that strengthens our mutual relationship. We will be a core service provider for Delaware but we will also start to collaborate with the Delaware infrastructure team for their Microsoft Lync and Exchange platform”, says Benny Corvers.
